The Delta Award for Architecture are evaluated by a distinguished five-member Jury Board constituted to ensure rigor, diversity of perspective, and professional authority.

Composition - The Jury comprises three eminent Bangladeshi architects from the practice and the academia, one foreign architect and a scholar from another discipline. The Chairperson shall be the senior most local architect on the panel. The distinguished Jury Board members for the current cycle are:

— Technical Advisor

An IFC-nominated representative would serve as a Technical Advisor to the Jury Board for the following categories:

  • Delta Sustainability & Resilience Award
  • Delta Contextual and Social Impact Award

In this capacity, the IFC representative would provide guidance on sustainability-related technical aspects and support the effective application of the EDGE App within the evaluation process.

— Awards Director

Ar. Dr. Nabanita Islam, Associate Prof. of NSU will be the Awards Director of the current cycle.

— Advisor

Ar. Jalal Ahmed, Founder & CEO, ARCHICONNECT will be acting as advisor to the Awards.

— Quorum

All five members shall constitute a quorum for deliberation and decision.

— Decision Process

All decisions shall be reached by majority vote. The Jury Chairperson shall communicate the outcome for each category to the Award Director.

— Withholding of Awards

Where the Jury determines that any submission that doesn’t meet the award standard, it retains the right to withhold that award for the cycle.

— Entry Rejection

The Jury may, by majority opinion, remove any entry from consideration or reassign it to a more appropriate category.

— Authenticity

The Jury reserves the right to disqualify any entry found to contain false, misleading, or unverifiable information.

— Confidentiality & Finality

All Jury deliberations and decisions are strictly confidential. Jury decisions are final, without recourse to appeal, and binding on all participants.
